Rhys looks like she has the chicken pox =(

Being prego in the summer has been very hard in Tx its been normal to have days that hit 112 I think we have had rain 3 times since winter.  So with saying all that I don't take Rhys out to play much during the day b/c its stupid hot we usually go out around 8pm, last night we were in the back yard for maybe 20 mins when I noticed mosquito's around Rhys this caught me off guard b/c I haven't seen any mosquito's this year b/c we are in a drought.  We came in right away to discover she had about 15 bites I had zero if she reacted to them like a normal person it wouldn't be a big deal but like her father she is very allergic and they swell up to half dollar sizes and bigger.  I am so bummed b/c she scratches them like crazy and they take forever to heal.  I will post pics later when I strip her down again to treat them.  Say a prayer for us this is going to be a long week.

Things I miss most during pregnancy

I am so thankful that we are expecting baby #2 we are looking forward to meeting our lil girl.  Today while Andrew and I were driving to go on a date the topic came up about things that I can't do anymore and miss we were cracking up so I thought it would be fun to share with ya!
  • I miss being able to do dishes w/o gagging =)
  • I miss not having a sharp sense of smell I feel like a drug dog
  • I miss sleeping on my back and stomach, not using the bathroom every hour or so.
  • I miss being able to snuggle with my husband in bed, not to mention the pillows I have to use to stay comfortable. There's too much stuff between us.
  • Being able to tie my own shoes, I live in flip flops.
  • I miss being able to shave comfortably and paint my toe nails.
  • I miss my mind. I don't feel as sharp or on the ball. And I forget a lot.
  • I miss being able to pick up things off the floor.
  • I miss putting on underwear without face planting lol but seriously its getting difficult lol
  • I miss my abs! I finally get boobs and now my midsection looks like I'm smuggling a melon =p
  • Oh, I miss having control of my emotions
  • I miss tall vanilla lattes
  • I miss feeling cute & fashionable
  • I really miss holding and rocking Rhys before I put her to bed at night
  • I miss not being able to play sports & water park rides
I'm sure there are many more things that I miss =)

The Toddler Bed

So we thought it would be a good idea to start transitioning Rhys from the crib to the toddler bed before the baby gets here.  I thought this would be easy since she did so well when we stopped nursing, the bottle, binky and started sleeping in the crib instead of the pack n play.  Every new stage she has handled great this has been very tough though.  We tried it out and she went to sleep in it just fine however 3 hrs later she was screaming for us and was up 3 1/2 hrs that night.  So she has slept in her crib the last 2 nights, starting this Sat I am gonna try again but I plan to sleep in there on a twin mattress on the floor next to her, please say a prayer for us I hope it doesn't take more than 3 or 4 nights.

We made it =)

The trip to Padre went great!  Rhys did really well on the flights thanks to the dvd player and snacks =) We took 50 people with us down to Youth Camp we had a great time!  The Lord did so many awesome things in the lives of students and leaders.  We have several kids that feel called to ministry now and are looking at going to SAGU and different Masters Commissions which we are soooo excited about!  This camp is very competitive we do lots of challenges and sports each church is a different team and I am proud to say that we were Camp Champs again!  We haven't stopped since camp ended on Fri, my flight was cancelled Fri so Rhys and I didn't get home until Sat, Andrew's caravan had 2 flat tires 2 days after we were home a student in our youth group had a brain aneurysm and Andrew was air lifted with him to Dallas to have brain surgery Drew was there for 3 days and just got home yesterday.  Today we have been painting Paisley's room, tomorrow we hope to finish that project and hopefully get to take it easy for a lil while before the decorating begins.

Rhys was a handful at the beach all she wanted to do was run non stop chasing the sea gulls or she wanted to be in the ocean w/o holding your hand which was really frustrating.  I was hoping we would build sand castles and it would be a fun peaceful time however that didn't happen she went under water a couple of times the waves were big because a tropical storm had come in so they were constantly taking her down.  We didn't get to play much on the beach b/c she is fearless of the water which is really scary for me, when she went under the first time I cried and felt so bad but she came up laughing I don't get it most kids are scared of the water or they cry when they are coughing up water and its coming out of their nose but not her lol.  I am so glad she gets to grow up in an atmosphere around church and youth events the kids love her and its all she has ever known, she is so friendly and sociable I believe a lot of it has to do with the environment we have her in.

Andrew finally felt Paisley moving last night which is exciting!  I think it becomes more real for him when he can feel her too, I noticed that last time I was pregnant when Andrew felt Rhys moving it was like he had a deeper connection to her =) I have only had heartburn twice thank goodness I had it every night with Rhys by this point, no more nauseous feeling however my belly is getting bigger and its getting uncomfortable to sit certain ways and sleep.  I think I carry high b/c both of my pregnancies I feel like I have broken ribs I am constantly rubbing them they hurt so bad.  Well thats all the info I can think of to update ya with here are some pics from camp.
Our team was the Green Frigates "we had to have a ship name"

Andrew called me at 2am and said they shaved some of the boys hair in his condo we have checkers, the culdasac aka old man hair lol and the roofio

Rhys didn't just ride the lazy river she also did a waterfall and rapids with Andrew
